Imagine how exciting it would be to hold a guitar in your hands that had been played by a legend. In fact, imagine what it might be like to play a guitar that had somehow managed to float through time. An instrument that has been played by several of the guitar giants, musicians well-respected throughout the world.
At Dandee Music, we just happen to be fortunate enough to have such a guitar in our possession.
How about a 1968 Martin Dreadnought D-18?
Does that do anything for you? And if it doesn’t, how would you feel if you knew it was played by Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell, and Gerry Garcia, to name a few?
The guitar we’re showcasing is a piece that’s part of the Dandee culture, something we look at every day we go to work.
And we hold it in such high esteem because it represents for us something that we believe in strongly; the idea that music belongs to everyone. And no matter how big or how small, any of us, indeed all of us, can, if we choose, pick up a guitar and pursue a dream.
Just like the giants.
We’ve got a letter from former owner Sandy Crawley that seems to sum up nicely the journey that this guitar has taken, including the places its been, and the musicians who have performed with it. It’s available by following the link below.
